About Me

Wei Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, USA. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Xian Jiaotong University, China, 2002, and M.S. degree in Information and Communication Systems from Xian Jiaotong University, China, 2005. He worked as a software engineer student co-op with Nokia-Siemens Communications Networks Ltd. in Beijing, China, 2005. He also worked with National Data Broadcasting Research Center in conjunction with Tongshi Data Communications Co., Xian, China, 2001-2005, as a software engineer co-op. His research interests include computer networks, wireless communications, wireless sensor networks, multimedia communications, image video coding, information security, software design methodologies, embedded systems, and biomedical computing. He is one of the recipients of the Best Paper Award in IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), Las Vegas, NV, 2008. He is a student member of IEEE. He served as a TPC member for WiMob 2008-2009, WCNC 2009 and GLOBECOM 2009-2010. He also served as a referee for several journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems on Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM, etc.
